Role Overview

Saudi Aramco is seeking a Drilling Foreman to join the Unconventional Resources Drilling Operations Division (URDOD) within the Unconventional Resources Drilling Department (URDD). This full-time role carries direct field responsibility for the drilling or working over of wells located across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its territorial waters. The primary objective is to direct well operations, which may include exploratory or development activities focused on hydrocarbon deposits, principally oil and gas.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise drilling or workover operations on complex wells, including those below 15,000 feet, with pressures above 10,000 psi, sour gas, high deviation, or costs exceeding $10,000,000.
• Maintain fiscal accountability for Saudi Aramco-owned equipment and materials at well locations.
• Ensure timely communication with Drilling Operations headquarters and coordinate logistical services, material movement, well services (Saudi Aramco and contractor-supplied), water support, and roads/location support.
• Perform Unit level supervisory functions at remote well locations on a 24-hour per day basis.
• Direct all well operations efficiently, safely, and in adherence to accepted industry practices as outlined in the well Drilling or Workover program issued by the Drilling Engineering Department.
• Coordinate the timely ordering of required well materials, equipment, and services according to the well program.
• Document the receipt, usage, and transfer of Saudi Aramco supplied materials and equipment.
• Review service company field tickets for accuracy of services provided and associated charges.
• Ensure full compliance with Saudi Aramco Blowout Prevention Standards, including equipment configuration, testing, and crew response.
• Assure that rig and personnel comply with Saudi Aramco established safety standards and procedures.
• For rigs contracted to Saudi Aramco, assure compliance with terms, conditions, and equipment/personnel as specified in the contract.
• Provide headquarters with a complete daily report of work progress as required in the Daily Morning Report.
• Promote cost-saving ideas and awareness to optimize operations consistent with safely meeting well objectives.

Required Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for this role are expected to have 5-10 years of experience in drilling operations. The position requires strong supervisory capabilities, a thorough understanding of drilling safety standards, and the ability to manage complex logistical and operational challenges in a field environment. Fiscal responsibility and adherence to contractual and company standards are essential.
