About the Role

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, *** is seeking an Engineer Pool Maintenance to join its team in Ummahat Islands, Red Sea, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires 0-1 years of experience and focuses on responding to guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring the smooth operation of hotel facilities. The role is integral to maintaining the high standards of guest comfort and property functionality.

Core Maintenance Responsibilities

• Respond to and address guest repair requests promptly.
• Communicate effectively with guests and clients to resolve maintenance issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on various tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines for operational integrity.
• Transport necessary equipment, such as tools and radios, as required for tasks.
• Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and general utility disconnect switches for buildings.
• Maintain a comprehensive maintenance inventory and order parts and supplies as needed.
• Communicate daily activities and issues to employees on other shifts using established communication programs and standards.

Technical Skills and Repair Tasks

• Demonstrate basic knowledge or aptitude to acquire knowledge in air conditioning and refrigeration, electricity, mechanics, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finishing, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy saving, and general building management.
• Perform surface preparation and painting, minor repairs to partitions and woodwork, replacement of light bulbs and air conditioner filters, and thorough cleaning of the painting or repair area.
• Test, diagnose faults, and perform basic repairs on various types of equipment, plumbing (*, unclogging toilets and drains), electrical components including lamps, cosmetic elements, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, replacing switches and outlets, and other guest room items.
• Program televisions and perform general engineering-related maintenance and inventory tasks.
• Utilize the Lockout/Tagout system before performing maintenance work.
• Perform repairs on indoor and outdoor gardens, as well as outdoor garden irrigation systems.
• Demonstrate basic knowledge of computer operation, including entering air regulation system schedules and changing temperature settings.

Operational Standards and Guest Interaction

• Comply with all company safety policies and procedures, report maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents or injuries, complete safety training and certifications, and properly store flammable materials.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are neat and professional, maintain the privacy of property information, and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guest service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Ensure compliance with quality expectations and standards.
• Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, support the team to achieve common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to other employees' issues.
• Communicate with others using clear and professional language.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.

Physical Demands

• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 50 pounds ( kg) or less without assistance.
• Lift heavier weights or perform tasks that involve unassisted movement.
• Climb and descend stairs, service ramps, or ladders.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting at the waist, crawling, and stooping.
• Enter and locate work-related information using computers.
