About the Role

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, * is seeking a Food Services Supervisor to join its team in the Red Sea region. This full-time role involves overseeing daily food service operations to ensure high standards of service, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. The supervisor will play a key role in staff management, inventory control, and maintaining a professional work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure consistent teamwork to maintain optimal service and customer satisfaction.
  • Control staff appearance and dress code, addressing any non-compliance.
  • Perform department opening and closing tasks, including setting up supplies, cleaning equipment and areas, and securing facilities.
  • Manage storage areas, ensure FIFO compliance, and maintain cleanliness standards.
  • Complete scheduled inventory, stock documentation, and order necessary supplies.
  • Monitor dining room seating, service quality, safety protocols, and customer well-being.
  • Submit work orders for maintenance and repairs.
  • Support management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, and motivating employees, serving as a role model for fair treatment policies.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, report maintenance issues, risks, accidents, or injuries, and obtain required safety certifications.
  • Ensure uniforms and personal appearance are clean and professional.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
  • Support colleagues and treat them with dignity and respect, contributing to team goals.
  • Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds (* kg) without assistance.
  • Capability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or a full shift.
  • Read and visually verify information in various formats, including small print.
  • Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machinery to identify defects.
  • Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of different sizes and weights requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
  • Reach objects overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Move in narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, and climb stairs and service ramps.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills

  • Greet and acknowledge all customers according to company standards.
  • Communicate with others using clear, appropriate, and professional language.
  • Answer the phone using appropriate etiquette.
  • Listen and respond appropriately to concerns from customers and other employees.
  • Use clear and courteous language in all communications.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Related Work Experience: A minimum of 2 years of related work experience is necessary.
  • Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory experience is preferred for this role.

Additional Duties

The Food Services Supervisor will also perform other tasks as requested by management that are consistent with the position's responsibilities.
