About Starlinks and the Role

Starlinks is seeking a Head of Procurement to lead its procurement functions. This full-time role is central to developing and executing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the cost-effective acquisition of goods and services essential for Starlinks' operations.

Role Purpose

The Head of Procurement is responsible for overseeing all procurement activities, ensuring they align with Starlinks' business objectives. This position requires strong negotiation skills, effective supplier management capabilities, and strict adherence to established procurement policies and compliance standards to mitigate risks and optimize value.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies that support Starlinks' business objectives.
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on criteria such as quality, cost, reliability, and service.
• Negotiate contracts, agreements, and payment terms with suppliers to optimize procurement value and manage purchase requisitions for timely delivery.
• Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers, monitoring performance against contractual obligations and implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure contract compliance, manage renewals, and mitigate risks within supplier agreements, including conducting evaluations and developing improvement plans for underperforming vendors.
• Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining product and service quality, working closely with finance and operations to align with budgetary goals.
• Implement competitive bidding processes to enhance cost efficiency.
• Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards, assessing risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Maintain accurate and updated procurement documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
• Continuously improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, leveraging procurement software and ERP systems.
• Analyze market trends and industry benchmarks to drive procurement excellence.
• Perform other job-related projects and assignments as directed by direct supervision.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess 8 years of experience in procurement or a related field. This role demands strong negotiation skills, proven expertise in supplier relationship management, and a comprehensive understanding of procurement policies and compliance standards.
