Housekeeper Public Area Lead

About the Role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Housekeeper Public Area Lead to join their team in Medina, Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves overseeing the cleanliness and maintenance of public areas, ensuring high standards are consistently met, and supporting the housekeeping management team.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize checklists to ensure all assigned public areas meet designated cleanliness and condition standards.
• Identify and report preventative or other maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms.
• Request preventative maintenance or non-urgent repairs using the appropriate methods.
• Contact other departments directly for urgent repair needs.
• Clean, maintain, and properly store all cleaning equipment.
• Document and report outstanding issues to management.
• Complete all required Housekeeping paperwork accurately.
• Respond promptly to requests from guests, the Front Desk, or At Your Service.

Leadership and Team Support

• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Serve as a role model for team members, demonstrating professional conduct and adherence to company standards.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, supporting the team in achieving common goals.
• Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.

Safety, Security, and Guest Service

• Adhere to all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
• Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries promptly.
• Complete required safety training and certifications; properly store flammable materials.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing their service needs.
• Assist individuals with disabilities and thank guests with genuine appreciation.

Physical Requirements and Qualifications

• Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 55 pounds without assistance, and in excess of 55 pounds with assistance.
• Capability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related machinery over sloping and uneven surfaces.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for extended periods across an entire work shift.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point-of-sale systems.
• Visually verify and interpret written documents.
• A minimum of 0-1 year of relevant experience is required for this position.

Additional Duties

The Housekeeper Public Area Lead will perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors, contributing to the overall efficiency and guest satisfaction of the hotel.
