The Role of HSE Manager

KEO International Consultants is seeking an HSE Manager to join its team in Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves maintaining the effective operation and management of KEO’s Safety Management System (SMS) on a mega project. The HSE Manager will provide advice and information to KEO staff and contractors to enhance health and safety standards on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the effective implementation of the KEO SMS on the project.
• Establish working relationships and provide advice on HSE issues to the Client, KEO Project Team, and Contractors.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HSE best practices and standards.
• Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of the SMS, reviewing and recommending revisions to the Regional H&S Manager as necessary.
• Conduct HSE training for KEO employees on the project based on needs assessment and training programs.
• Monitor and report on the HSE standards achieved by Contractors and maintain statistical data for the Project.
• Ensure effective and immediate incident reporting and investigation to determine root causes and provide recommendations to prevent re-occurrence.
• Review and analyze project incident data and KPIs on a monthly basis.
• Carry out periodic inspections of the project to ensure compliance and recommend changes where applicable.
• Manage the activities of and assign duties to KEO Safety Officers.
• Review contractor’s H&S documentation for compliance with relevant standards.
• Track the closure of H&S violation reports and H&S inspection reports issued to contractors.
• Chair Project H&S Meetings and attend construction Progress Meetings.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 15 years of career experience.
• Chartered status with a NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent) is required.
• Project experience gained from working on mixed-use projects.
