About the Role

SNC-Lavalin Fayez Engineering is seeking an HSEW Inspector- Theme Park Experience to monitor and enforce health and safety standards across project sites and operational areas. This full-time role is crucial for ensuring a safe working environment by conducting regular inspections, identifying hazards, and verifying compliance with regulatory and client requirements. The inspector will also support the implementation of safety initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine site inspections to identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and potential hazards.
• Ensure compliance with company health and safety policies, project requirements, and applicable regulations.
• Monitor day-to-day site activities to verify adherence to approved safety procedures and work methods.
• Inspect work areas, equipment, tools, and machinery to ensure safe operation and compliance.
• Verify proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all site personnel.
• Participate in risk assessments and support the implementation of control measures.
• Monitor high-risk activities such as working at height, lifting operations, excavation, confined space entry, and hot work.
• Assist in investigating accidents, incidents, near misses, and safety observations.
• Maintain records of inspections, observations, corrective actions, and safety reports.
• Conduct safety inductions and support toolbox talks and safety awareness campaigns.
• Ensure permit-to-work systems are implemented and followed correctly.
• Follow up on corrective and preventive actions to ensure timely closure.
• Report health and safety concerns and non-conformances to site management.
• Support emergency response drills and emergency preparedness activities.
• Coordinate with supervisors, contractors, and workers to promote safe working practices.
• Monitor housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
• Assist in preparing health and safety statistics, reports, and compliance documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in health and safety inspection, particularly within a theme park environment. A strong understanding of health and safety standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices is essential for this role.
