Job Description

About the Role

Pairs is seeking an Investment Banking Analyst to join its team in Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on the investor side of the Pairs network, which connects family offices, institutional investors, VCs, and angels with screened investment opportunities. The Analyst will manage the end-to-end process of identifying, engaging, and securing investors for opportunities that have cleared the company's diligence process.

Role Context and Responsibilities

The Investment Banking Analyst will be responsible for investor outreach and relationship management, rather than deal execution. This involves working with family offices, high-net-worth individuals, angels, and funds that directly back companies. The role requires a rigorous approach to investor identification and engagement, ensuring all interactions are qualified and lead to defined next steps. The platform supports pipeline management, research, and follow-up, allowing the Analyst to concentrate on investor conversations and capital commitment. The Analyst will work directly with the co-founders and the investor team within a flat organizational structure, gaining insight into opportunity screening processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identifying and qualifying investor lists based on opportunity stage, sector, check size, and recent activity.
  • Crafting personalized outreach messages to elicit replies and converting these into calls.
  • Booking qualified investor meetings with founders, ensuring investors have necessary context prior to calls.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all conversations, meetings, and outcomes to ensure continuity and prevent information loss.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Experience as an analyst in investment banking, M&A advisory, corporate finance, or capital advisory, with a background in building investor or buyer lists on live processes.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the distinction between a long list and a qualified list, and the ability to articulate the process of moving between them.
  • Ability to write concise, specific messages that generate replies from busy investors.
  • Capacity to maintain a high pace of work without compromising quality, consistently following processes without reminders.
  • A strong sense of discretion; applicants should not include investor names in their application.
  • Daily use of AI tools, with clear judgment on their appropriate application to enhance work quality.

Work Environment and Compensation

This is a fully remote, asynchronous role. The position offers direct access to the co-founders and the investor team, fostering close collaboration. The Analyst will engage with live mandates from the first week and gain insight into the company's internal deal flow screening processes. Compensation for this role includes a base salary plus commission. There is potential for growth into a senior investor-side role as the individual's network expands.

Application Information

Candidates are encouraged to apply, ensuring that discretion is maintained regarding investor names in their submissions.
