About the Role

SNC-Lavalin Fayez Engineering is seeking a Lead MEP Manager for a full-time position. This role involves acting as the Consultant's representative on-site, overseeing all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) supervision activities for large-scale buildings, mixed-use developments, and theme park projects. The Lead MEP Manager ensures that all MEP works comply with contract requirements, approved designs, quality standards, project schedules, and regulatory mandates.

Role Context and Objectives

The primary objective of this role is to lead and manage the comprehensive supervision of MEP installations and systems. This includes coordinating with multidisciplinary stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to ensure seamless integration and execution. The Lead MEP Manager will play a critical role in maintaining project integrity and adherence to technical and quality specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead site supervision for all MEP works, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, ELV, and specialist systems.
  • Ensure contractor compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project standards.
  • Manage and coordinate MEP interfaces with architectural, structural, fit-out, and themed attraction works.
  • Review and provide technical comments on shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, and design changes.
  • Monitor construction progress and identify potential risks affecting cost, quality, or schedule.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure works comply with project specifications and applicable codes.
  • Lead testing, commissioning, integrated systems testing, and handover activities.
  • Coordinate with contractors, specialist vendors, ride suppliers, and themed entertainment contractors.
  • Review contractor claims, variation orders, and progress reports.
  • Verify completed works and provide recommendations for payment certifications.
  • Ensure the implementation of QA/QC procedures and HSE requirements across all MEP activities.
  • Attend client, consultant, and contractor meetings, providing technical leadership on project delivery matters.
  • Support the Resident Engineer and Project Director in managing project objectives and resolving technical challenges.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in MEP supervision for large-scale building, mixed-use, or theme park projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage MEP supervision activities effectively.
  • Strong understanding of contract requirements, design specifications, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
