About the Role

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, *** is seeking a Life Guard to join their team in the Red Sea region. This full-time role involves ensuring the safety of swimmers and maintaining the recreational facility according to company standards. The position requires 0-1 years of experience and a commitment to upholding safety protocols and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize appropriate rescue techniques when swimmers require assistance.
• Monitor the swimming area for hazardous conditions, unusual or dangerous activities, and swimmers in distress.
• Promote the rules and regulations of the recreational facility.
• Identify situations where guests may not be able to safely participate in an activity and inform the supervisor or manager.
• Provide assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
• Promote an entertaining and relaxing atmosphere for guests.
• Obtain, fold, and stack towels according to company procedures.
• Wash, mop, and clean the pool deck.
• Report accidents, injuries, and hazardous working conditions to the manager; follow safety training and obtain certifications.

Operational Duties

• Follow and apply all chain safety policies and procedures; report maintenance issues, accident risks, accidents, or injuries; follow training and obtain required safety certifications.
• Ensure uniform and appearance are clean and professional.
• Respect the confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Support all colleagues and treat them with dignity and respect.
• Support the team in achieving common goals.
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
• Greet and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
• Speak to others using clear, appropriate, and professional language and answer the phone using appropriate etiquette.
• Perform all other tasks requested by managers that are consistent with the position.

Physical Requirements

• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds (* kg) without assistance.
• Assist in moving, lifting, carrying, transporting, and placing objects weighing over 75 pounds (34 kg).
• Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period or for an entire shift.
• Move at the speed required to respond to work situations (*, running, walking, jogging).
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machinery (*, to identify defects).
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of different sizes and weights requiring excellent motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Reach objects overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Move on sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces and steps.
• Climb ladders, ascend and descend stairs and service ramps.

Qualifications and Certifications

• Education Level: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: No related work experience is required.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required.
• Licenses or Certifications:
  • CPR Certification
  • First Aid Certification
  • Sports equipment certification
  • Any certification or training required by local and state agencies.
