Logistics Manager (Construction/PMC)

About the Role

SNC-Lavalin Fayez Engineering is seeking a Logistics Manager (Construction/PMC) to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of logistics operations. This full-time role ensures the efficient movement, storage, and distribution of goods and materials, managing transportation, warehousing, inventory control, and supply chain activities. The Logistics Manager will ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and customer requirements, driving operational excellence, cost optimization, and continuous improvement to support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement logistics strategies that support organizational and project requirements.
• Manage transportation, warehousing, distribution, and inventory operations.
• Plan and monitor the movement of goods, materials, and equipment to ensure timely delivery.
• Optimize logistics processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
• Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs authorities, and third-party logistics providers.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate stock management and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with local and international transportation regulations, customs requirements, and safety standards.
• Analyze logistics performance metrics and prepare operational reports for management review.
• Manage logistics budgets, contracts, and vendor performance to achieve cost-effective solutions.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to transportation, storage, and supply chain disruptions.
• Lead, mentor, and develop logistics and warehouse teams to achieve operational objectives.
• Coordinate with procurement, supply chain, project, and operations teams to support business needs.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives and best practices across logistics operations.
• Resolve logistics issues, delays, and customer service concerns in a timely manner.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing, or supply chain management.
• Proven experience managing end-to-end logistics operations in industrial, manufacturing, construction, retail, or infrastructure environments.
• Strong knowledge of logistics processes, inventory management, transportation planning, and warehouse operations.
• Familiarity with customs regulations, import/export procedures, and international shipping requirements.
• Experience working with ERP systems, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and logistics software.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Professional certifications such as CSCP, CLTD, CPL, or equivalent are desirable.
