The Role: Manager, Project Base Metals Projects

Ma'aden is seeking a Manager, Project Base Metals Projects to lead and manage Project Base Metals (PBM) activities for exploration projects within the Western Region. This full-time role is central to ensuring that exploration initiatives align with strategic goals, budget constraints, and established timelines. The Manager will oversee the comprehensive planning, execution, and performance monitoring of these projects, coordinating closely with technical and business teams to drive successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the portfolio of exploration projects in the Western Region, from initial planning through to execution.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Monitor project performance diligently and implement corrective actions as required to ensure objectives are met.
• Ensure strict compliance with internal governance frameworks, safety protocols, and environmental standards.
• Collaborate effectively with geoscience, finance, procurement, and operations teams to facilitate project success.
• Prepare and present regular project updates and detailed reports to senior leadership.
• Support risk management strategies and change control processes throughout the project lifecycle.
• Mentor project coordinators and actively contribute to capability development within the PBM department.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in project management within the mining or related heavy industry sector. This role requires a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, demonstrating proven capability in leading complex projects from conception to completion. Candidates should possess robust organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for engaging with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
