Mechanical Technician

About the Role

ACWA Power is seeking experienced Mechanical Technicians for full-time opportunities within power generation and water desalination plants across Saudi Arabia. This role is responsible for performing preventive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance on mechanical equipment to ensure safe plant operations, equipment reliability, and effective maintenance execution in accordance with approved procedures and HSE standards. The position requires 3-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance on mechanical equipment in power generation and water desalination plants.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, service, and repair pumps, compressors, valves, piping systems, and other static and rotating mechanical equipment.
• Maintain RO desalination mechanical equipment, including high-pressure pumps, energy recovery devices, and membrane-system auxiliaries, or CCGT equipment, including turbine auxiliaries, cooling-water systems, and HRSG mechanical equipment.
• Conduct mechanical inspections, including alignment, lubrication, bearings, seals, vibration, and equipment condition checks.
• Support planned maintenance outages, equipment overhauls, and mechanical troubleshooting activities under the supervision of the Mechanical Supervisor or Engineer.
• Interpret mechanical drawings and P&IDs, use mechanical tools and measuring instruments, and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Coordinate equipment isolation, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and permit-to-work requirements before maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards, safe work procedures, PPE requirements, and workplace housekeeping practices.

Required Experience

• 3-5 years of experience as a Mechanical Technician in power generation or water desalination plants.

Work Conditions

This is a plant-based position located in Saudi Arabia. The role requires availability to support planned outages, maintenance activities, and emergency repairs as needed.
