About the Role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Human Resources Manager to join their team in Medina, Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah. This is a full-time position focused on driving daily HR operations and delivering employee services that support business success.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

As a key member of the Human Resources Support team, you will collaborate with HR Business Partners to manage core HR functions. Your responsibilities will encompass recruitment, compensation, and training and development, ensuring all activities align with company policies and legal requirements. A primary focus will be on providing exceptional employee services and promoting a successful work environment.

Key Job Activities

  • Manage Recruitment and Hiring Processes: Assist in interviewing and hiring candidates, establish contact with external recruitment sources, participate in recruitment fairs, identify candidates through local organizations, supervise screening and selection, provide expertise on the selection process to management, and collaborate with vendors for advertising vacancies.
  • Implement and Guide Employee Benefits: Collaborate with unemployment service providers, review service provider reports, draft and audit unemployment claim activity reports, and attend unemployment hearings.
  • Manage Employee Training: Support departmental onboarding training plans, ensure employees receive cross-training, utilize in-house training tools, supervise ongoing training initiatives, coordinate and facilitate new employee onboarding, and ensure participation in training plans.
  • Uphold Employee Relations: Maintain effective employee communication channels, review progressive disciplinary documentation, address employee issues and concerns through the "open door" policy, ensure issues are escalated appropriately, and collaborate with Loss Prevention for incident investigations.
  • Manage Legal and Regulatory Practices: Ensure employee files contain required documentation, maintain adherence to file review and audit processes, ensure compliance with privacy laws, maintain confidential medical records, promote drug testing procedures, communicate hotel policies and regulations, ensure regular communication of safety and security policies, conduct reviews with the regional claims office, represent the hotel's Safety Committee, and manage employee claims compensation.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in Human Resources or a related field. Specific educational requirements include either:

  • A high school diploma or GED, along with 3 years of experience in Human Resources, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • A two-year degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field from an accredited college, coupled with 1 year of experience in Human Resources, Operations Management, or a related field.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in Medina, Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah. The role involves working within the Human Resources department of Sheraton Hotels & Resorts, collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure effective HR operations.
