MWD Field Engineer

About the Role

Progressive Global Energy Limited is seeking an experienced MWD Field Engineer to support directional drilling operations on land-based projects. This full-time role involves the operation, maintenance, and optimization of MWD systems to deliver accurate real-time downhole data.

Role Purpose

The MWD Field Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring drilling performance and well placement objectives are met by providing precise downhole data. The position requires a professional with 3-5 years of experience in the field, focusing on technical execution and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain MWD tools and surface equipment throughout drilling operations.
• Monitor and transmit real-time drilling, survey, and formation evaluation data.
• Perform survey management and ensure data quality during drilling operations.
• Support directional drilling teams by providing accurate toolface, inclination, and azimuth information.
• Troubleshoot and resolve MWD tool failures at both surface and downhole locations.
• Prepare operational reports, surveys, and comprehensive well documentation.
• Ensure strict compliance with client requirements, HSE standards, and company procedures.
• Coordinate effectively with Directional Drillers, Drilling Supervisors, and Rig Personnel to optimize overall drilling performance.

Candidate Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience as an MWD Engineer.
• Demonstrated ability to operate and maintain MWD systems.
• Proficiency in monitoring and transmitting real-time drilling data.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for MWD tool failures.
• Commitment to safety and operational compliance.

Work Environment
