Job Description

About the Role

Halliburton is seeking an MPD\UBD Engineer to join their team in Al Khobar, Eastern Region. This full-time position involves providing specialized technical support and design for Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) and Underbalanced Drilling (UBD) operations. The role requires 2-5 years of experience and includes mentoring Associate Technical Professionals (ATPs) within a service center.

Key Responsibilities

Provide specific multi-PSL job design, well support, and post-job analysis to customers in a designated area.
Develop and maintain personal relationships with the technical customer base.
Offer highly technical expert support to ATP and TP staff, including a mentoring role for ATPs.
Participate in critical jobs where service quality or job complexity may be a concern.
Maintain job schedules and liaise with customers on technical issues, including performance review and process improvements.
Collaborate with local Business Development personnel to ensure customers are informed about current technology.
Initiate, review, and close Correction, Prevention, Improvement (CPI)s related to technology.

Additional Role Duties

Engage hands-on in MPD/UBD job design, execution, monitoring, and post-job reporting.
Provide real-time technical support to the well-site team and customer.
Prepare and interpret engineering programs, calculations, operating envelopes, and contingency plans.
Identify operational risks and recommend technically sound corrective actions.

Qualifications and Experience

2-5 years of experience as an MPD Engineer with direct field exposure.
Demonstrated experience with pressure-control principles, hydraulics, operating procedures, and technical troubleshooting.
