About the Role

King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals - KFUPM is seeking a Performance & Analytics Senior Specialist. This full-time role involves leading institutional performance management, analytics, and executive reporting. The specialist will utilize advanced data analysis and digital dashboards to support evidence-based decision-making and enhance performance transparency across the institution.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage institutional KPI frameworks.
• Monitor service performance across various departments.
• Support strategic and operational reviews to ensure alignment with institutional objectives.
• Design and manage executive dashboards, primarily using Power BI.
• Integrate data from ERP, HR, Finance, and other service systems.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability in all reports.
• Produce monthly and quarterly performance reports for leadership.
• Establish data standards and validation processes to maintain data quality and compliance.
• Coordinate with data owners and maintain comprehensive reporting documentation.
• Analyze trends, identify risks, and pinpoint performance gaps.
• Provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations to leadership.
• Support scenario analysis and forecasting initiatives.
• Supervise analysts and visualization staff, building analytics capability within the CoCE.
• Ensure the timely delivery of all required reports.

Required Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for this role should possess 8-10 years of relevant experience in performance management, data analytics, and executive reporting. A strong background in developing and managing KPI frameworks, along with expertise in designing and implementing digital dashboards, is essential.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in designing and managing executive dashboards, particularly with Power BI.
• Experience with data integration from various enterprise systems (ERP, HR, Finance).
• Strong analytical skills for trend analysis, risk identification, and performance gap assessment.
• Ability to translate complex data into clear, strategic recommendations.

Authority and Decision Support

The Performance & Analytics Senior Specialist will have access to institutional performance data and the authority to approve dashboard standards. This role includes recommending KPI improvements and escalating data quality issues to relevant stakeholders, ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of performance reporting.

Work Environment
