About the Peer Review Opportunity

Fengkai Group Co., Limited is seeking qualified individuals for a part-time, long-term peer review role in Water Resource Engineering. This position supports remote work and is based in Saudi Arabia.

Role Overview

The primary function of this role is to provide expert evaluation of academic manuscripts submitted for publication. This involves critically assessing the quality, originality, and scientific rigor of research within the field of Water Resource Engineering. The reviewer will contribute to the integrity and advancement of scientific knowledge by offering constructive feedback and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the originality and novelty of submitted manuscripts, determining their contribution to the field.
  • Assess the appropriateness, comprehensiveness, and clarity of the study design and methodologies employed, ensuring reproducibility.
  • Verify that the manuscript thoroughly incorporates and cites relevant, up-to-date literature.
  • Analyze the presentation of results and conclusions, ensuring they are clear, data-supported, and significant.
  • Provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback to authors, highlighting strengths, weaknesses, and potential ethical concerns.
  • Make recommendations regarding manuscript acceptance, revision, or rejection to the journal editor.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • A Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent advanced degree in Water Resource Engineering or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant professional experience.
  • A demonstrated publication record, with at least 5 papers published in SCI/SSCI journals within the past three years.
  • A thorough understanding of research methodologies and ethical principles pertinent to the discipline.
  • Prior experience serving as a peer reviewer for academic journals is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review systems.
