UrbaCon Contracting & Trading Company is seeking a Procurement Officer to join its team. This full-time role is essential for optimizing procurement processes and supporting operational objectives within the company.

Role Overview

The Procurement Officer is responsible for streamlining sourcing processes, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services. This position focuses on optimizing cost efficiency, maintaining inventory levels, and cultivating strong supplier relationships to meet organizational needs. The role also involves evaluating supplier performance and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and communicate the supply strategy and its implications to relevant stakeholders.
• Utilize competitive insights to develop strategies that address competitive threats.
• Remove organizational barriers to ensure exceptional internal and external customer service.
• Represent the organization ethically and professionally, encouraging adherence to the operating framework.
• Manage financial and budgetary aspects within the assigned area of responsibility.
• Identify metrics, tools, and processes to optimize sourcing, supplier activities, and efficiencies.
• Lead the delivery of savings and operating cash flow programs within their scope of category (products/services).
• Continuously drive operational excellence in strategic sourcing.
• Develop and follow superior procurement management strategies and practices to maximize value from procurement.
• Formulate and manage a strategic plan to capture total procurement value and sustain a competitive edge.
• Adapt company-wide best practices to support strategic objectives and maximize business opportunities.
• Engage and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to improve service while reducing supply costs.
• Lead in identifying and analyzing cost reduction opportunities to achieve financial targets.
• Oversee and manage the rationalization of suppliers, materials, and services that meet business requirements.
• Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5 year of experience in procurement or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to streamline sourcing processes and negotiate contracts.
• Strong understanding of cost efficiency optimization and inventory management.
