Product Designer

About the Role

The Flex is seeking a Product Designer to join its team in Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves designing products that address specific challenges for property managers, operational teams, and guests within the short-term rental sector. The Product Designer will work directly with founders and engineers to translate complex operational requirements into user-friendly experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the design process from problem definition and user research through to prototypes, final interfaces, and implementation reviews.
• Conduct research with operators and internal teams to understand workflows and pain points.
• Translate complex requirements into clear user journeys, wireframes, and polished interfaces.
• Collaborate with engineers to deliver designs that consider real data, edge cases, and technical constraints.
• Test ideas early, incorporate feedback, and iterate on experiences post-launch.
• Utilize AI tools to enhance design exploration and production while maintaining high design standards.
• Identify problems, propose solutions, and drive initiatives to completion.

Design Focus Areas

• Design core product experiences, including dashboards and workflows for reservations, properties, guest communications, cleaning, maintenance, and finance.
• Develop intuitive AI interactions for configuring agents, understanding actions, reviewing decisions, and manual intervention.
• Create onboarding and setup flows that enable operators to connect channels, add properties, and quickly derive value from the platform.
• Design booking and guest journeys, including direct bookings, check-in processes, extensions, and upsells.
• Contribute to the design system by building reusable components and consistent interaction patterns.
• Design website and marketing assets, such as landing pages, feature visuals, and launch materials.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience in product design.
• A portfolio demonstrating both UX thinking and visual design capabilities.
• Experience designing SaaS products, dashboards, or applications with complex workflows.
• Proficiency in Figma, including auto layout, components, design systems, and interactive prototyping.
• Strong understanding of typography, spacing, hierarchy, color, and responsive design.
• Ability to simplify complex information while retaining necessary details for users.
• Experience collaborating directly with engineers through to production.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to articulate design decisions and respond to feedback constructively.
• High ownership, attention to detail, and adaptability in evolving environments.
• Experience with short-term rentals, hospitality, AI products, conversion optimization, or front-end development is an advantage.
