Project Operations Lead

About the Role

SNC-Lavalin Fayez Engineering is seeking a Project Operations Lead. This contract role involves overseeing the operational execution of projects to ensure delivery objectives are met on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The position requires 5-10 years of experience.

Role Purpose

The Project Operations Lead acts as a bridge between project teams, stakeholders, and leadership. The primary focus is to drive efficiency, governance, and continuous improvement across the project portfolio. This includes critical functions such as project planning, resource management, and performance tracking.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate project operations to ensure successful project delivery.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
• Monitor project performance, risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring timely resolution.
• Establish and enforce project governance, processes, and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, clients, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Track key project metrics and provide regular status reports to management.
• Optimize operational workflows and identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Support project managers with planning, execution, and change management activities.
• Manage resource utilization and capacity planning across multiple projects.
• Ensure project documentation is maintained accurately and consistently.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery efficiency.
• Facilitate project review meetings, lessons learned sessions, and operational audits.

Experience Required

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in project operations or a related field.
