Purchasing Supervisor (Saudi National Only)

About the Role

Faena The Red Sea is seeking a Purchasing Supervisor to join their team in Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is open to Saudi Nationals only and requires 2-5 years of relevant experience. The Purchasing Supervisor will oversee daily purchasing activities, ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services while supporting the Purchasing Manager.

Role Overview

The Purchasing Supervisor is responsible for managing day-to-day procurement operations. This includes supervising purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring strict compliance with company procurement policies. The role also involves monitoring inventory needs, resolving supply chain issues, and ensuring all purchases meet established quality, budget, and delivery requirements to support seamless business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily purchasing activities to ensure smooth procurement operations.
• Assist in sourcing suppliers and obtaining competitive quotations.
• Review and accurately process purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
• Ensure all purchases comply with company policies, budgets, and approval procedures.
• Coordinate with suppliers to confirm pricing, availability, and delivery schedules.
• Monitor order status and follow up to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Resolve issues related to delayed deliveries, incorrect items, or quality concerns.
• Maintain updated records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information.
• Support inventory control by coordinating with stores and warehouse teams.
• Assist in evaluating supplier performance and maintaining vendor relationships.
• Ensure proper documentation for all procurement transactions.
• Collaborate with finance and operations departments on purchasing needs.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages or excess inventory.
• Assist in cost control and identifying savings opportunities.
• Prepare purchasing reports and updates for management review.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and internal controls.
• Support audits by providing required purchasing documentation.
• Train and guide junior purchasing staff as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise daily purchasing activities.
• Strong understanding of procurement policies and procedures.
• Proficiency in managing supplier relationships and negotiations.
• Ability to monitor inventory and resolve supply chain issues effectively.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Saudi Arabia. The role involves working closely with various internal departments, including finance, operations, and warehouse teams, to ensure efficient procurement processes.
