About the Role
UrbaCon Contracting & Trading Company is seeking a Senior Employee Relations Officer for a full-time position. This role involves leading and overseeing the employee relations function, ensuring effective management of employee relations issues, and promoting a positive work environment within the organization.
Role Overview
The Senior Employee Relations Officer provides strategic direction and guidance on complex employee relations matters, including grievance resolution, disciplinary actions, and labor disputes. This position is key in developing and implementing employee relations policies, procedures, and programs to foster a culture of fairness, respect, and compliance with employment laws and regulations. The role also involves collaboration with senior management and HR leadership to address systemic issues and develop initiatives that improve employee engagement and morale.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing, reviewing, and updating employee relations policies and procedures, ensuring their effective implementation.
- Administer HR services precisely and timely, maintaining high-quality standards for all transactions.
- Monitor and control employee data to ensure timely processing and compliance with relevant policies.
- Assist in investigating and conducting disciplinary cases, preparing case briefs, and following up on agreed actions.
- Coordinate with the recruitment and business partnership section to plan and arrange induction for new recruits, and advise new staff on company employee relations policies and procedures.
- Coordinate the planning of employee leaves across different divisions and departments.
- Manage the resolution of employee HR inquiries and grievances, ensuring adequate support is provided.
- Process and communicate employee action letters, including promotions, salary adjustments, and disciplinary actions.
- Communicate and circulate new and updated policies, procedures, and regulations to company employees.
- Create, maintain, and update employee files while ensuring confidentiality.
- Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies.
