The Role of Senior Procurement Specialist

KEO International Consultants is seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist to manage and supervise procurement and supply chain operations for projects. This full-time role involves ensuring cost efficiency, timely delivery, and compliance with project requirements, while also driving continuous improvement across the supply chain. The specialist will be responsible for end-to-end procurement processes and managing supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervising project procurement and supply chain operations to ensure cost efficiency, timely delivery, and compliance.
  • Managing end-to-end procurement and supply chain activities, including sourcing, purchasing, logistics, warehousing, and inventory.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of high-end procurement materials relevant to well-known hotel operators.
  • Evaluating bids and providing award recommendations to the Client.
  • Ensuring bid compliance with local laws and regulations, including Local Content requirements.
  • Supporting the Client in price negotiations during the award process.
  • Preparing procurement plans for high-value projects.
  • Developing and implementing procurement strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Managing supplier relationships, including vendor selection, evaluation, and performance management using KPIs and scorecards.
  • Facilitating contract negotiations to secure favorable commercial terms and mitigate risks.
  • Developing and managing departmental budgets, focusing on cost control and value optimization.
  • Ensuring and tracking the timely availability of materials and services in line with project requirements (cost, quality, and schedule).
  • Establishing and maintaining supplier databases and preferred vendor lists.
  • Monitoring market trends, inflation, cost fluctuations, and supply risks for proactive procurement planning.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and cost savings.
  • Collaborating with internal departments such as engineering, commercial, construction, and quality to align procurement activities.
  • Preparing and presenting procurement reports, forecasts, and variance analyses to the Client.
  • Leading and developing procurement teams through training, performance management, and mentoring.
