The Role: Senior Specialist Fleet Management II

Maaden is seeking a Senior Specialist Fleet Management II to join its team in the Khurais oil field. This full-time role is central to managing and controlling fleet operations effectively, ensuring optimal vehicle utilization, safety compliance, cost control, and service reliability across field operations. The specialist will support uninterrupted transportation services through proactive maintenance planning, system management, vendor coordination, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement of fleet efficiency.

Key Responsibilities: Fleet Operations and Maintenance

  • Oversee general fleet operations to ensure optimal vehicle availability, utilization, and efficiency, including daily vehicle allocation and scheduling.
  • Manage vehicle repair and maintenance activities, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Plan, schedule, and monitor preventive maintenance programs for all fleet vehicles.
  • Conduct regular in-person vehicle inspections to verify roadworthiness and condition.
  • Ensure full compliance with safety, legal, and regulatory requirements governing fleet operations.
  • Manage trip requests, including permanent vehicle assignments and pool service scheduling, ensuring efficient allocation and control.
  • Ensure effective TAMM system management, including registering vehicles under correct users, and maintain up-to-date vehicle documentation.
  • Monitor fuel consumption patterns, identify variances, and implement control measures.
  • Coordinate with the Inventory Team to ensure adequate availability of fleet-related spare parts and consumables.
  • Manage accident-related processes, including insurance claims, documentation, and repair follow-up until vehicle closure and return to service.

Key Responsibilities: Reporting, Vendor, and Team Supervision

  • Maintain accurate daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual fleet reports, and prepare ad hoc reports for management decision-making.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor fleet KPIs such as downtime, cost per kilometer, fuel efficiency, and availability.
  • Coordinate with fleet service providers and suppliers for vehicle maintenance, repairs, and related services, including reviewing technical proposals and validating invoices.
  • Supervise drivers and the JMS Team performance, including roster planning, policy compliance, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Monitor and respond to Blue Key Users events, formally notifying respective line managers for action.
  • Manage driver petty cash, approve operational expenses, and ensure proper documentation and reconciliation.
  • Review petty cash invoices related to vehicles and supporting documents before submission to the Reporting Team.
  • Raise purchase requisitions for fleet-related assets, items, and services, following up until delivery.
  • Drive initiatives to reduce fleet operating costs, improve efficiency, and enhance service performance.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Logistics, Transportation Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant fleet management experience.

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in fleet operations, transportation management, or related roles.
  • Hands-on experience in fleet systems, maintenance coordination, and compliance management.
  • Experience managing vehicles across multiple sites or remote operations is preferred.
  • Experience working in remote sites, camps, or industrial/mining environments is preferred.
  • Proven experience with audits, reporting, and fleet management systems.
