About the Role

Ninja is seeking a Stock Control Supervisor to join its Warehouse Operations team. This full-time position is crucial for maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring the efficient operation of the distribution center.

Role Overview

The Stock Control Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all stock control activities, including supervising a team, leading cycle counts, and resolving stock discrepancies. This role involves coordinating with various warehouse departments to support optimal inventory management and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the stock control team and daily inventory activities.
  • Conduct cycle counts, full inventory counts, audits, and stock reconciliations.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and ensure timely resolution.
  • Monitor receiving, stocking, picking, transfers, adjustments, and distribution transactions.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in WMS/ERP systems.
  • Coordinate with Receiving, Picking, Shipping, Quality, Purchasing, and Warehouse teams.
  • Monitor stock levels to help prevent shortages and overstocking.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Apply FIFO principles and monitor expiry dates, aging, slow-moving, and obsolete stock.
  • Ensure bins are correctly labeled and storage locations are logically organized.
  • Improve storage layouts, stock flow, and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor inventory KPIs, including stock accuracy, variances, and count completion.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required reports and documentation.
  • Train, guide, and evaluate inventory control employees.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and warehouse procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory control, stock management, or warehouse supervision.
  • Previous experience supervising an inventory or warehouse team.
  • Hands-on experience using WMS and/or ERP systems.
  • Relevant inventory, warehouse, or supply chain certifications are an advantage.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of cycle counting, stock audits, reconciliation, and inventory accuracy.
  • Good understanding of warehouse operations, FIFO, stock replenishment, and inventory forecasting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
  • Ability to investigate discrepancies and implement process improvements.
  • Good communication, coordination, and team-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is preferred.
