Supervisor Dimensional Control

About the Role

International Maritime Industries is seeking a Supervisor Dimensional Control to lead a team of dimensional controllers and structural fitters. This contract position is based in Ras Al Khair, Eastern, Saudi Arabia, and requires over 10 years of experience. The role involves overseeing dimensional checking activities in accordance with production procedures, IMI HSE rules, and project requirements, under the guidance of the Dimensional Superintendent.

Role Purpose and Context

The Supervisor Dimensional Control will work closely with the Superintendent Dimensional, Structural Supervisor, and the project team. The primary objective is to ensure all assigned dimensional survey works are executed safely, on time, and within budget, adhering to contract specifications and the International Maritime Industries Management System (IMIMS). This role is critical for maintaining dimensional accuracy throughout project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Security (HSES) regulations.
• Supervise and assign tasks to Dimensional Controller personnel.
• Assist the Superintendent (Dimensional) in training DC personnel and implementing DC procedures.
• Verify dimensions, measurements, cutting, and preparation for blocks and panels.
• Inspect equipment and tools used by the team, ensuring they are maintained in safe working condition.
• Ensure that all surveying equipment and tools are properly calibrated.
• Confirm that inspected blocks, panels, and items are within specified tolerances.
• Ensure that corrective actions identified by the DC team are implemented by production.
• Maintain accurate records of all measurements taken on site.
• Attend safety and daily toolbox meetings, understanding job-related risks.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Ability to understand Dimensional Control procedures.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Knowledge and experience in using surveying equipment and tools.

This is a contract position within International Maritime Industries, located in Ras Al Khair, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. The role requires active supervision of a team and close collaboration with various departments to ensure project success and adherence to safety and quality standards.
