Team Leader Logistics

About the Role

Starlinks is seeking a Team Leader, Logistics to manage and optimize logistics operations. This full-time role involves leading a team of logistics professionals to ensure efficient and effective management of daily activities, transportation coordination, and timely delivery of goods. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Role Purpose

The Logistics Team Leader will oversee daily logistics activities, coordinate transportation, optimize freight routes, and ensure timely delivery of goods. This role also includes providing guidance and support to team members, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring compliance with all transportation regulations and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of logistics professionals, including task assignment, training, development, and performance evaluations.
• Coordinate transportation and logistics activities, such as scheduling shipments, arranging pickups and deliveries, and managing freight documentation.
• Optimize freight routes and transportation modes to minimize transit times and costs while maximizing efficiency.
• Track shipments and monitor delivery progress to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
• Communicate with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners to coordinate shipping schedules and resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards for all shipments.
• Assist with the negotiation of shipping rates, contracts, and service agreements.
• Provide guidance and support to team members, resolving logistics-related issues and offering technical expertise.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, warehouse operations, and customer service.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records of shipments, including shipping documents, invoices, and delivery receipts.
• Assist with the timely resolution of logistics-related issues or customer inquiries.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement appropriate solutions in logistics operations.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in logistics and supply chain management.
• Participate in training and development programs to enhance knowledge and skills.
• Support the implementation of technology solutions, such as Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and freight tracking software.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, supply chain management, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in logistics or a related field.
