Vaccines Implementation Manager Central

About the Role

Merck Sharp & Dohme Corp is seeking a Vaccines Implementation Manager - Central. This full-time role is focused on maximizing the value of the company's vaccines within the public sector, ensuring budgeted sales and consumption targets are met while enhancing customer experience through a customer-centric approach. The manager will plan and execute implementation programs for National Immunization Programs (NIP) and foster partnerships with Health Authorities during vaccination campaigns.

Role Purpose and Strategic Focus

The primary purpose of this position is to lead, drive, and ensure the strategic and operational processes for vaccines in the public sector. This includes identifying and pursuing inclusion opportunities in coordination with the Vaccines Cross-Functional Team (CFT), ensuring both short-term and long-term objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in public health authorities and public accounts, ensuring their engagement in company activities.
• Plan, implement, and track implementation programs in alignment with strategic objectives.
• Ensure the effective implementation of NIPs through activities designed to increase knowledge and utilization of company vaccines, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and other relevant authorities.
• Identify and pursue new opportunities for NIP inclusions and/or brand switches, proactively working on their development.
• Ensure operational excellence by monitoring the procurement process and implementing effective tracking to ensure smooth supply and prevent shortages.
• Communicate the value proposition and drive mutually beneficial business opportunities with key customers.
• Extend patient access to vaccines in both the Ministry of Health and institutional settings through awareness campaigns and customer partnerships.
• Continuously update technical knowledge and skills to stay informed about new market events and environmental developments related to the public sector.
• Ensure 100% execution in compliance with PV SOPs.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Understanding of the public sector, local government, and the interdependencies between these organizations.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of the regional and local health economy.
• Ability to leverage in-depth knowledge of customer preferences and needs, along with market dynamics and trends, to develop and implement strategies.
• Ability to effectively navigate customer environments and understand evolving needs to align objectives and foster customer networks and partnerships for results.
• Demonstrated skills in executing defined projects, including KPI setting and measurement, and the ability to scale up pilot projects and replicate best practices.
• Extensive proficiency in sophisticated problem-solving techniques and the ability to develop tailored solutions that meet both customer and company objectives.
