Vessel Logistics Officer

About the Role

Oil Support Services is seeking a dedicated Vessel Logistics Officer to join our team in the Eastern Province. This full-time role is central to managing vessel logistics, ensuring the timely and safe transportation of personnel and equipment. The Vessel Logistics Officer will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and uninterrupted flow of KJO operations by expertly managing all aspects of marine logistics, from personnel movement to equipment delivery.

Operational Management

• Review and evaluate daily and weekly marine logistics operations, including requests from contractors, vessel operators, project teams, and departments.
• Assign required resources to fulfill operational demands.
• Ensure all loading, offloading, and mooring operations are conducted safely and effectively.
• Manage unforeseen challenges, such as adverse weather or equipment malfunctions, with minimal operational disruption.
• Attend fuel and cargo loading and offloading operations.

Strategic Planning and Compliance

• Assist in the development and implementation of section policies, processes, and procedures to ensure all relevant procedural and legislative requirements are fulfilled.
• Craft and implement strategic plans to streamline vessel logistics within the company's operational framework.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize vessel resource deployment and equipment allocation.
• Ensure the company’s waste management system is properly implemented.

Resource and Crew Oversight

• Supervise the inventory of vessel resources and equipment, facilitating prompt replenishments and maintenance as needed.
• Review qualifications of marine crew.

Required Experience

Candidates must possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in vessel logistics or a closely related marine operations field.
