About the Role

Novartis Saudi Arabia is seeking an experienced Area Manager Oncology to lead a high-performing field force. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires 5-10 years of relevant professional experience. The role focuses on delivering strong commercial outcomes and creating meaningful patient impact within the oncology sector.

Role Overview

As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for translating strategic objectives into effective execution across your territory. This includes driving excellence in customer engagement and fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and collaboration within your team. The position demands a leader capable of inspiring a field force to achieve business goals while maintaining a patient-centric approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver the area’s sales, market share, performance, and profitability targets to meet or exceed budget.
• Define, develop, and oversee short and long-term strategic sales plans in alignment with regional and global marketing strategies.
• Create and execute business plans, including strategic and tactical planning for brands, in line with company strategy and standards.
• Maintain existing client relationships and develop new business opportunities independently.
• Monitor market trends, sales, and product performance, conducting regular reviews against plans and implementing corrective actions as required.
• Complete all reporting and administrative requirements in a timely and accurate manner.
• Manage relationships with key account decision-makers, key opinion leaders, patient associations, and internal colleagues across business functions.
• Master product knowledge and disease area knowledge, and effectively coach the team on these subjects.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 5-10 years of experience in a relevant commercial or sales leadership position, preferably within the pharmaceutical or oncology sector. Demonstrated ability in strategic planning, business development, and team leadership is essential. Strong communication and relationship management skills are required to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
