About the Backend Engineering Lead Role

Takamol Holding is seeking a Backend Engineering Lead to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves leading the design and development of scalable backend systems and enterprise microservices. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in backend development and a strong understanding of modern cloud-native architectures.

Core Responsibilities

• Design and develop enterprise microservices utilizing the Spring Boot framework.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, ensuring adherence to established best practices.
• Integrate APIs, various data sources, and cloud-native platforms.
• Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
• Optimize system performance, reliability, and security measures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, implementing effective solutions.
• Ensure digital solutions meet security, performance, and accessibility requirements.
• Mentor and develop squad members, fostering a high-performing backend services community.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend their adoption when beneficial.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Substantial experience with the Java programming language and the Spring Boot framework.
• Proven experience with microservices architecture, REST APIs, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL database technologies.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, as well as cloud platforms.
• Experience working within Agile methodologies and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Strong background in modern architectural design and related technical disciplines.
