About the Field Services Engineer Role

GE Vernova is seeking a Field Services Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience. The role involves providing all necessary resources and logistics for service and maintenance activities directly at customer sites. These activities focus on maintaining, repairing, and refurbishing sold or existing products, including preventive and corrective maintenance services, facilities management, and field technical support. The Field Services Engineer influences departmental operations and is responsible for planning and/or execution, operating with a degree of autonomy within standard operational practices and procedures, requiring judgment within established guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all on-site life extension, repairs, and inspection-related service activities at customer locations. This includes specialized tasks such as on-site machining, non-destructive testing, work on blades, windings, critical welds, and generator diagnostics.
• Develop in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline, leveraging previous experience and acquired technical expertise to implement policy and strategy.
• Possess a deep understanding of key operational factors and utilize this knowledge to accomplish individual work, understanding how team efforts integrate with other teams and contribute to the overall domain.
• Exercise judgment and propose various solutions outside defined parameters, within guidance, and rely on prior experience and professional training to resolve simple tasks.
• Demonstrate the technical skills and analytical mindset necessary for problem-solving, and may consult multiple internal sources beyond the immediate team for decision-making.
• This position may function as an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or as a People Leader capable of hiring and developing talent, providing informal guidance to new team members.

Qualifications and Experience

• Knowledge equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, or a baccalaureate with relevant experience.
• 0-1 years of experience in a relevant function.
