About the Fleet Team Leader Role

GFS Express is seeking a Fleet Team Leader to manage daytime operations at its Distribution Center (DC) warehouse in Riyadh. This full-time position requires a proactive individual to oversee daily logistics and ensure efficient workflow.

Daytime Warehouse Operations Management

The primary focus of this role is to manage the daytime operations of the DC warehouse. This includes ensuring a smooth workflow, promptly addressing any on-site issues that arise, and maintaining accurate, traceable records of all personnel and vehicles entering and exiting the facility during operational hours.

Shipment and Logistics Oversight

This position involves close monitoring of all inbound and outbound shipment activities throughout the daytime operations. Responsibilities include overseeing customer pickups and managing shipments that are handed over to third-party logistics providers, ensuring timely and accurate processing.

Vehicle and Driver Management

The Fleet Team Leader will be responsible for managing the company's owned vehicles and in-house drivers. This encompasses daily vehicle dispatching, strategic vehicle allocation, and coordinating driver schedules. Regular inspections of company vehicles are required to identify and address any maintenance or repair needs promptly.

Operational Coordination and Issue Resolution

Effective coordination with the KA team is essential, requiring daily communication to address urgent operational issues that may arise during daytime operations. Prompt responses and proactive problem-solving are key to maintaining operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Relevant working experience in the logistics industry and a strong understanding of logistics operation processes.
• Ability to drive heavy vehicles; relevant driving qualifications are preferred.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting, with the capacity to assist in resolving minor vehicle issues.
• Proficiency in both English and Arabic, with strong bilingual communication and coordination skills.
