About The Ritz-Carlton and the Host/Hostess Role

The Ritz-Carlton is seeking a full-time Host/Hostess to join its team in Riyadh. This role is integral to creating exceptional guest experiences and upholding the brand's renowned "Gold Standards" of luxury service within a leading global hospitality environment.

Role Overview and Service Standards

The Host/Hostess is responsible for ensuring that the established luxury service standards are delivered graciously and thoughtfully on a daily basis. This position plays a direct part in maintaining The Ritz-Carlton's reputation for distinguished hospitality.

Key Duties and Guest Service Responsibilities

Greet guests upon arrival and determine the number in their party.
Seat guests by identifying a clean, available table, pulling out chairs, and presenting a current menu.
Guide guests through dining areas and provide any necessary assistance.
Move and arrange tables, chairs, and settings to organize seating for groups, including those with special needs.
Ensure place settings are appropriate, with each guest having a napkin, clean silverware, and all standard items.
Verify that menus are current, clean, plentiful, and wrinkle-free.
Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service flow, safety, and guest well-being.
Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day by practicing "clean-as-you-go" procedures.

Operational Compliance and Professional Conduct

Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management; and complete all required safety training and certifications.
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; and protect company assets.
Welcome and acknowledge all guests in accordance with company standards.
Communicate with others using clear and professional language, and answer telephones with appropriate etiquette.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, support the team in achieving common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to concerns of other employees.
Ensure adherence to established quality expectations and standards.

Physical Demands

Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time.
Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
