About the Role

Luxury Collection is seeking a dedicated Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor to join their team. This full-time position offers an opportunity to ensure high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction within the hotel environment. The role requires attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

The Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor will be responsible for inspecting guest rooms and public areas, including the pool, after cleaning by housekeeping staff to ensure adherence to quality standards. This role involves managing room status reports, verifying room conditions, identifying and resolving discrepant rooms, and prioritizing cleaning schedules. The supervisor will also assist housekeeping management with daily activities and serve as a liaison between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry departments to coordinate efforts. Responsibilities include documenting and resolving issues with discrepant rooms with the Front Desk, preparing and communicating room assignments and changes, and relaying pertinent information to the next shift. Completion of required paperwork is also a key duty.

Team and Operational Support

In addition to direct cleanliness oversight, the supervisor will support management in various human resources functions, including hiring, training, scheduling, and employee evaluation. This involves providing counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching to team members. The role also requires fostering positive working relationships with colleagues and responding appropriately to their concerns. Adherence to company policies, safety and security procedures, and reporting of any maintenance problems or safety hazards are essential.

Guest Interaction and Professionalism

A core aspect of this role involves upholding company standards in guest interactions. This includes welcoming and acknowledging guests, anticipating and addressing their service needs, and assisting individuals with disabilities. Maintaining a clean and professional personal appearance and uniform is required, as is the confidentiality of proprietary information and the protection of company assets. Clear and professional communication with others is paramount.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to perform various physical tasks. This includes moving, lifting, and carrying objects weighing up to 55 pounds independently, and heavier objects with assistance. The role involves pushing and pulling loaded housekeeping carts and other machinery over uneven surfaces. Candidates must be able to reach overhead, below the knees, and perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping motions. Extended periods of standing, sitting, kneeling, or walking are expected throughout a work shift. Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination are necessary for manipulating objects. The ability to enter and retrieve work-related information using computers and to read and visually verify information in various formats is also required. Reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors may also be performed.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess a high school diploma or *** equivalent. A minimum of 1 year of related work experience is required, along with at least 1 year of supervisory experience. This experience level indicates a foundational understanding of hotel operations and leadership capabilities.
