About the Lead Product Designer Role

Jeeny, a prominent ride-hailing platform focused on transforming daily commuting and transportation, is seeking a Lead Product Designer. As a joint venture between MEIG, Rocket Internet, and IMENA, Jeeny operates in Saudi Arabia and Jordan, making mobility accessible and affordable. This full-time position offers an opportunity to lead a team of product designers and advance UX research initiatives within an environment that values innovation and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Product Designers (PDs) and Associate Product Designers (APDs), contributing to their professional development.
• Oversee and guide continuous user experience research and user testing processes.
• Produce and regularly review comprehensive findings from user research.
• Prioritize design backlogs and manage design sprints effectively.
• Conduct regular reviews of the team's design work.
• Track, report on, and achieve relevant metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Develop both short-term and long-term design strategies.
• Represent the design team in various forums and facilitate thought workshops.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• An MBA or an advanced degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in product design for user-facing mobile and web applications.
• Experience working for tech companies in the transportation, deliveries, or eCommerce sectors is preferred.
• Experience working in the Middle East, specifically in KSA and Jordan, is preferred.
• Native Arabic speaker proficiency is preferred.
