About the Learning & Development Specialist Role

First Gulf Company (FGC) is seeking a Learning & Development (L&D) Specialist to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves designing, developing, and delivering training programs to enhance the capabilities of FGC's workforce of over 4,000 employees across its Systems Integration, Construction & MEP, Facility Management, and Shared Services divisions. The role is integral to supporting FGC's Vision 2030 objectives by equipping employees with the necessary technical, operational, and leadership skills for prominent infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting comprehensive Training Needs Assessments (TNAs) in collaboration with department heads and HR Business Partners to identify competency gaps.
• Translating TNA findings into structured learning plans aligned with FGC's strategic and operational goals.
• Developing and maintaining the annual Learning & Development plan and training calendar.
• Designing and developing engaging, blended learning programs, including instructor-led, e-learning, and on-the-job formats.
• Creating training materials such as course outlines, facilitator guides, learner workbooks, presentations, and assessments.
• Developing onboarding programs for new hires and building role-specific learning pathways for various divisions.
• Facilitating training sessions covering technical skills, soft skills, safety, leadership, and compliance topics, both in-person and virtually.
• Coordinating with external training providers, vendors, and subject matter experts.
• Managing training program logistics, including scheduling, venue coordination, and attendance tracking.
• Administering and optimizing the FGC Academy, including content upload, user enrollment, and report generation.
• Leveraging digital learning tools to expand training reach across the workforce.
• Tracking and reporting on training completion rates, employee progress, and L&D KPIs.
• Measuring training effectiveness using models like Kirkpatrick and gathering feedback for program improvement.
• Conducting post-training impact assessments to evaluate ROI and behavioral change.
• Supporting Saudization initiatives through targeted development programs for Saudi national talent.
• Partnering with HR on succession planning and leadership pipeline development.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
• A professional certification in L&D or HR (*, CIPD, ATD/CPLP, SHRM, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
• An instructional design certification (*, eLearning Guild, Articulate Certified) is a plus.
• Minimum of 5-10 years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, Training, or Organizational Development.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering training programs for a technical or project-based workforce.
• Prior experience in construction, engineering, systems integration, facility management, or related industries is a strong advantage.
• Experience administering a Learning Management System (LMS) such as Kayan, SAP SuccessFactors, Cornerstone, or Moodle.
