About the Massage Therapist Role

The Luxury Collection in Riyadh is seeking a full-time Massage Therapist to provide exceptional spa services to guests. This role is suitable for individuals with 0-1 years of experience, offering an opportunity to develop within a professional hospitality environment.

Core Responsibilities

• Deliver a range of massage services to guests, utilizing various props and products.
• Perform body treatments, including scrubs, wraps, and hydrotherapy.
• Assess guest needs and inquire about any contraindications, such as allergies, high blood pressure, or pregnancy, prior to commencing any service.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current techniques and modalities relevant to the field of massage therapy.
• Escort guests to and from treatment rooms, ensuring their comfort and guidance.
• Prepare and arrange the workstation and treatment room, including drapes, before and during services.
• Regularly check in with guests to ensure their comfort, safety, and security throughout their treatment.
• Promote and sell spa and salon services, including retail products available within the Spa.
• Clean, maintain, and sterilize all tools and equipment used during treatments.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the workstation and treatment room throughout the shift, properly disposing of trash and used linens, and securing all supplies and equipment at the end of each shift.
• Monitor and adhere to the daily time schedule to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Handle any inappropriate guest behavior by strictly following Marriott International standard operating procedures for inappropriate conduct, which may include stopping a treatment and informing a supervisor or manager.
• Maintain current skills and licensure as required by regional regulations for the service area.
• Report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe working conditions to management and complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, ensuring a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance. Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing their service needs with genuine appreciation.
• Communicate with others using clear and professional language.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and team members.

Physical Requirements and Abilities

This role requires the ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods. It also involves grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. The ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance is necessary.
