About the Power BI Developer Role

Norconsult Telematics is seeking a Power BI Developer to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves designing, developing, and maintaining advanced reporting and analytics solutions to support project monitoring and strategic decision-making. The role is crucial for ensuring accurate tracking of project performance and delivering actionable insights through effective data analysis and visualization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to support project monitoring and decision-making.
• Design and implement automated reporting solutions utilizing Power BI, SQL, Excel, and other BI tools.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, and analysis from multiple data sources to generate accurate and timely reports.
• Create ad-hoc reports and conduct data analysis based on stakeholder requirements.
• Analyze and profile complex datasets to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for reporting improvements.
• Develop and maintain reusable data models, datasets, and reporting templates to ensure efficiency and standardization.
• Support project teams in tracking daily activities and monitoring performance against defined KPIs and objectives.
• Assist the Project Control Manager in preparing periodic reports and ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
• Participate in project meetings to understand reporting requirements and propose data-driven solutions.
• Define, monitor, and maintain data quality standards to ensure consistency and reliability of reporting outputs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data alignment, integration, and compliance with reporting standards.
• Identify gaps in data and reporting processes and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide timely and accurate reporting updates to stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analytics or business intelligence, with at least 1 year in a specialized BI role.
• Strong hands-on experience in Power BI development, including dashboard creation, DAX, and data visualization.
• Proficiency in SQL for data querying, transformation, and analysis.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience in data modeling, reporting automation, and business intelligence tools.
• Good understanding of data profiling, data quality management, and reporting frameworks.

Essential Skills and Attributes

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills.
