The Role: Predoctoral Research Fellow

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre is seeking a Predoctoral Research Fellow for a full-time position. This role is designed for individuals participating in a structured doctoral research training program. The Fellow will support the planning, execution, and dissemination of biomedical research activities under the direct supervision of a Principal Investigator (PI), contributing to various research projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and conduct experimental studies under PI supervision in areas such as molecular biology, cell biology, genomics, or translational research.
• Perform a range of laboratory procedures, including cell culture, PCR, Western blotting, ELISA, flow cytometry, sequencing workflows, and imaging techniques.
• Prepare reagents, buffers, and biological samples, ensuring strict compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and institutional biosafety standards.
• Contribute to integrative analyses, which may include multi-omics, clinical datasets, and translational pipelines.
• Conduct thorough literature reviews and contribute to hypothesis generation and study design.
• Support Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions, protocol development, and regulatory documentation as applicable.
• Adhere to all institutional policies concerning research ethics, biosafety, and data governance.
• Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams across KFSHRC and partner institutions.
• Participate in continuous education, training, and professional development initiatives.
• Follow all Hospital’s related Policies and Procedures and perform other assigned duties.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Must be accepted into or currently enrolled in a PhD Program in Biomedical Sciences.
