About the Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Riyadh is seeking a Professor of Biomedical Sciences to join its academic team. This full-time position offers an opportunity to provide academic leadership and contribute significantly to graduate-level education and research within a leading institution.

Role Context and Impact

The Professor will be instrumental in advancing biomedical sciences through comprehensive graduate-level teaching, robust research supervision, and the development of innovative research programs. This role requires a commitment to academic excellence and a proactive approach to fostering a dynamic research and learning environment aligned with institutional and national standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, organize, and deliver graduate-level teaching in assigned biomedical disciplines, including molecular biology, genomics, immunology, biochemistry, and bioinformatics.
• Design and implement curricula that align with international academic standards and Ministry of Education (MOE) requirements.
• Contribute to the development of interdisciplinary programs and strategic academic initiatives.
• Establish and lead independent and collaborative research programs consistent with KFSHRC's research priorities.
• Secure competitive research funding and publish a minimum of two (2) publications per year in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals, adhering to Alfaisal University policy.
• Collaborate with clinical, translational, and research teams across KFSHRC and Alfaisal University.
• Supervise and mentor PhD and MD-PhD students, ensuring high-quality academic and research outcomes.
• Participate in faculty development and foster a collaborative academic environment, including mentoring junior faculty.
• Engage in academic governance through participation in departmental, school, and institutional committees.
• Contribute to accreditation processes, quality assurance, and program evaluation in alignment with MOE and NCAAA standards.
• Adhere to all Hospital’s related Policies and Procedures.
• Participate in self and others' education, training, and development as applicable.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: A PhD or equivalent terminal degree in a relevant biomedical science discipline from an accredited institution is required.
• Experience: Six (6) years of related experience post-doctoral degree is required.

The Professor will operate within a highly collaborative academic and research setting, working closely with various clinical, translational, and research teams across King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre and Alfaisal University.
