About the Role

alfanar Group is seeking a Section Manager, Production Lab & GPS to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves leading and managing the Production Laboratory and Glaze Preparation sections, ensuring consistent quality, process efficiency, and production innovation. The manager will be responsible for overseeing critical functions from raw material testing to glaze formulation and team development to meet production targets and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

The Section Manager will oversee all operational aspects of both the Production Laboratory and Glaze Preparation sections. This includes guiding teams, optimizing processes, and ensuring adherence to quality protocols. The role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement across all managed areas.

Laboratory Operations and Quality Assurance

• Supervise all laboratory activities, including raw material analysis, chemical testing, and providing advice for correcting quality issues.
• Develop and implement comprehensive testing protocols for new materials and formulations.
• Ensure the regular calibration and proper upkeep of all laboratory equipment.

Glaze Management and Development

• Manage the entire process of glaze formulation, mixing, and application.
• Collaborate effectively with R&D and design teams to develop new glaze effects and finishes.
• Monitor glaze performance during production and actively troubleshoot any emerging issues.
• Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of all glazing recipes and process parameters.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in a production laboratory or glaze preparation environment. This role requires demonstrated leadership capabilities and a strong technical background in material analysis, chemical testing, and process optimization within a manufacturing context. Experience in team development and cross-functional collaboration is essential.
