About the Senior Infrastructure Specialist Role

AMNCO is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Specialist to join its Information Technology department in Riyadh. This full-time position requires a professional with a strong background in IT infrastructure management, server and network administration, and cybersecurity. The role is pivotal in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of all IT systems and infrastructure, aligning with company policies and industry best practices. The ideal candidate will possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Infrastructure Specialist will be responsible for a range of critical IT functions:

• Server and Systems Administration: Managing and maintaining physical and virtual servers (UCS/Rack) running Windows Server and Linux, administering virtualization environments (Hyper-V, VMware), overseeing cloud hosting platforms, and managing external hosting services.
• Network Administration: Designing, managing, and maintaining LAN/WAN infrastructure, including core switches and inter-branch connectivity. This includes configuring and managing secure site-to-site VPN connections, and configuring and maintaining firewall solutions (Sophos, FortiGate, or equivalent). Network performance monitoring to ensure high availability is also a key duty.
• Cybersecurity Management: Implementing and enforcing cybersecurity policies and procedures, deploying and managing cybersecurity tools (SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS), proactively monitoring security threats, responding to incidents, and preparing status reports.
• Monitoring and Infrastructure Oversight: Installing and managing control panel and monitoring solutions (Zabbix, PRTG, or equivalent), overseeing data center and server room infrastructure, and assessing and addressing performance bottlenecks and vulnerabilities.
• Policy and Compliance: Contributing to the development and maintenance of IT governance and cybersecurity policies, ensuring adherence to standards and regulatory requirements, and providing technical guidance.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role must meet the following requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure and systems administration.
• Experience with Windows Server, Linux, and UCS/Rack Servers.
• Proficiency in virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V and VMware.
• Solid understanding of LAN/WAN, Core Switch, VPN, and SD-WAN.
• Experience with firewall platforms like Sophos, FortiGate, or similar.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity tools including SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, and open-source security solutions.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Zabbix, PRTG, or equivalent.
• Experience with cloud hosting, cPanel, and platforms like GoDaddy.
• Understanding of data center operations and server room management.

The role demands a comprehensive technical skillset, including:
