Senior Startup Investor Manager

AWS EMEA SARL (Saudi Arabia Branch) is seeking a Senior Startup Investor Manager for its Startup Investor Management - EMEA team. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on identifying and collaborating with promising early-stage startups and venture capital firms within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Role Context

AWS supports hundreds of thousands of startups globally, providing access to cloud computing technology that powers large companies. As a Senior Startup Investor Manager, you will work directly with venture capital firms and angel investors to accelerate the success of their portfolio companies on AWS. This involves enabling faster innovation and scaling by helping startups leverage cloud services to achieve breakthrough growth and establish AWS as a foundational platform for new technology companies.

Key Responsibilities

• Build strong Partner-level relationships with venture capital firms in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• Create and execute investor-focused programs that accelerate portfolio company success.
• Implement solutions that address specific startup and investor needs.
• Collaborate on cross-functional initiatives involving AWS Startups, Sales, Marketing, and Product teams.
• Monitor program effectiveness and provide feedback based on results.
• Collect early-stage market signals from investors and founders to support AWS innovation and help meet the evolving needs of tomorrow's breakthrough companies.
• Evaluate the technical and business potential of startups through understanding their architecture, technology stack, and market opportunity.
• Serve as an advisor to portfolio companies, helping them optimize their cloud architecture and go-to-market approach.

Required Experience and Skills

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience. The role requires a combination of technical understanding of cloud and emerging technologies, such as generative AI, with strong business acumen and investment insight. This profile is essential for identifying opportunities and ensuring startups have access to the necessary tools, expertise, and support to build products on AWS infrastructure.
