About Alfanar and the Role

Alfanar is seeking a Sr. Graphic Designer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to creating visually appealing and effective designs that convey messages and concepts. The designer will develop layouts, select colors and fonts, and utilize design software to produce various visual materials, such as advertisements, brochures, and digital content, ensuring alignment with brand identity and communication goals.

Core Design Responsibilities

The Sr. Graphic Designer will be responsible for a range of design activities, from conceptualization to final production and quality assurance. Key responsibilities include:

• Conceptualizing ideas and crafting designs for print materials requested by diverse internal clients.
• Developing corporate identities for various purposes, spanning from advertising to major publications.
• Defining styles and techniques to achieve desired design outcomes that comply with production requirements.
• Conceiving and assessing design concepts, providing creative ideas and guidance to other designers, and offering constructive feedback for improvement.
• Conducting meetings with clients or marketing managers to discuss job objectives and mandatory requirements, then comprehending client business needs to craft aligned concepts for the printing team.
• Executing designs or delegating artwork requisitions to designers as necessary, and establishing delivery schedules for each task.
• Scrutinizing work before printing to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Occasionally visiting the printing press to supervise the quality of printed artworks.
• Assessing suggestions from photographers regarding product photography.

Leadership and Team Development

This role also encompasses leadership and team development responsibilities, ensuring effective team performance and growth:

• Training subordinates and forming a team to ensure effective work delivery.
• Providing leadership, coaching, and direction to subordinates in all aspects of their work.
• Delegating assignments to subordinates.
• Ensuring fair distribution of tasks to maintain team morale and motivation.

Operational Accountabilities

The Sr. Graphic Designer will also be accountable for various operational aspects to ensure efficiency and compliance:

• Performing planned activities to meet operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
• Utilizing resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time parameters.
• Providing periodic reports detailing deviations and the execution of planned tasks.
• Resolving any related problems that arise and escalating complex operational issues as necessary.
• Ensuring quality requirements are met to develop effective quality control and processes, including specifications for products or related activities.
• Coordinating well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seeking automation opportunities.
• Complying with relevant policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within the defined area of work activity.

Required Experience

Candidates applying for the Sr. Graphic Designer position should meet the following experience requirement:

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant professional experience in graphic design.
