About the Role

My Clinic KSA, a leading multispecialty outpatient care provider in Saudi Arabia, is seeking a Sterilization Technician for its facility in Riyadh. Role Overview

The Sterilization Technician is responsible for the decontamination, sterilization, and distribution of medical instruments, equipment, and supplies within My Clinic's healthcare facilities. This role is crucial for maintaining a safe and sterile environment for patient care, ensuring all medical devices are properly cleaned, packaged, sterilized, and stored.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive soiled surgical instruments, trays, and medical equipment, performing initial decontamination to remove organic debris.
  • Operate automated washers, ultrasonic cleaners, and disinfection equipment for reusable medical devices.
  • Inspect cleaned instruments and equipment for damage or defects, reporting issues to supervisors.
  • Assemble instrument sets, surgical trays, and procedure packs according to established protocols.
  • Prepare instruments and equipment for sterilization using appropriate methods based on compatibility and recommendations.
  • Operate sterilizers and autoclaves, monitoring cycle parameters to ensure effective sterilization.
  • Package sterilized items using sterile wraps, pouches, or containers to maintain sterility.
  • Label packages with sterilization indicators, expiration dates, and tracking information.
  • Store sterilized items in designated areas, managing inventory and stock rotation.
  • Monitor and document sterilization process parameters, biological indicator tests, and quality control checks.
  • Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and performance checks on sterilization equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of instrument processing, sterilization cycles, equipment maintenance, and inventory.
  • Manage minimum and maximum stock levels of CSSD consumables and follow requisition protocols.
  • Perform other assigned professional duties.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Education: CSSD Technology Diploma from a recognized institution.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is preferred.
  • License: Must be licensed by the Saudi Council for Health Specialists.
