Opportunity for Structural Engineers in Riyadh

Robert Bird Group is seeking full-time Structural Engineering professionals across multiple seniority levels to support ongoing and upcoming projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. These roles will focus on the design and delivery of various building structures, including high-rise, mixed-use, and complex developments, aligning with major development programs under Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. We are building a strong pipeline of talent for the following positions:

• Principal Structural Engineer
• Senior Structural Engineer
• Design Structural Engineer

Key Responsibilities by Role

• Principal Structural Engineer: Leads structural design delivery for complex and high-profile building projects, provides technical leadership and strategic input, manages client relationships, oversees multidisciplinary coordination, drives innovation and technical excellence, and mentors engineering teams.
• Senior Structural Engineer: Delivers structural design for buildings from concept to detailed design, coordinates with architects and multidisciplinary teams, performs analysis, design calculations, and technical reviews, supports project delivery and quality standards, and assists in mentoring junior engineers.
• Design Structural Engineer: Supports structural design and analysis under supervision, prepares calculations, reports, and design documentation, assists in developing structural models and drawings, and coordinates with internal teams to support project delivery.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for these Structural Engineer positions should possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Proven experience in building structural design, specifically with high-rise, commercial, mixed-use, or complex structures.
• Strong knowledge of international design codes and standards, such as Eurocodes, ACI, and BS.
• Experience working in the Middle East, with a preference for experience in Saudi Arabia.
• Proficiency in structural design software, including ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, and Revit.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.

Additional Requirements for Senior Roles

For Senior and Principal Structural Engineer roles, candidates must also demonstrate:

• Demonstrated leadership in project delivery.
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management experience.
• Ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects concurrently.
