Majd Yanbu Industrial Company (شركة مجد ينبع الصناعية) is a joint venture formed by Elsewedy Cables and Alfanar. The company is currently establishing a state-of-the-art copper rod manufacturing facility in Yanbu Industrial City, Saudi Arabia, with an annual capacity of 130,000 metric tons. Commercial production for this facility is scheduled to commence in 2026.

The Opportunity: Senior Treasury Accountant

Majd Yanbu Industrial Company is seeking a Senior Treasury Accountant to join its team in Yanbu, Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves managing the company's daily cash and banking operations as the organization scales towards full production. The position offers an opportunity to establish and develop the treasury function within a new industrial company from its foundational stages.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily cash positions across SAR/USD accounts and prepare rolling cash flow forecasts.
• Execute and process payments on corporate banking platforms, including HSBCnet, SNB, and FAB, ensuring full segregation of duties.
• Oversee bank account opening, mandate management, signatory authority matrices, and Know Your Customer (KYC) documentation end-to-end.
• Execute, confirm, and settle FX conversion contracts (spot/forward) and maintain comprehensive deal registers.
• Manage Copper hedging contracts.
• Invest surplus cash in time deposits and track maturities, rollovers, and returns.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and process treasury journal entries within the ERP system.
• Manage trade finance operations, including the issuance and amendment of letters of credit (LCs), letters of guarantee (LGs), and documentary collections. This involves reviewing terms, tracking margins and commissions, and coordinating document presentation with banks and suppliers.
• Administer working capital facilities and term loan utilizations, monitoring covenants and reporting deadlines.
• Support external audit processes, IFRS reporting (specifically IAS 7, IAS 21, IFRS 9), and internal controls.

Candidate Profile and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in treasury or accounting roles, demonstrating a strong understanding of financial operations within an industrial context. This role requires a professional capable of managing complex financial tasks and contributing to the establishment of robust treasury processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Saudi corporate banking platforms and bank account/mandate management.
• Practical ERP experience in performing bank reconciliations and processing treasury entries.
• Working knowledge of IFRS standards relevant to treasury functions.
