About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a full-time Sales Manager I to join its team in Makkah, with responsibilities covering the Makkah and Jeddah regions. This position is accountable for proactively soliciting and managing sales opportunities, ensuring proper and timely business turnover for effective service delivery.

Role Purpose and Objectives

The Sales Manager I assists in leading day-to-day sales activities, focusing on building long-term, value-based customer relationships. This role is crucial for achieving sales objectives and requires the incumbent to meet personal sales goals while contributing to the overall sales strategy of the location.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with off-property sales channels to ensure coordinated and complementary sales efforts.
• Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers through sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, and trade shows to secure future bookings.
• Develop community relationships to expand the customer base and identify new sales opportunities.
• Manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide accurate, complete, and effective turnover of business to Event Management.
• Participate in sales calls with team members to acquire new business or close existing opportunities.
• Execute and support operational aspects of booked business, including generating proposals, writing contracts, and managing customer correspondence.
• Identify new business to achieve personal and location revenue goals.
• Analyze market trends, competitor strengths and weaknesses, and economic factors to position sales strategies effectively.
• Close the most advantageous opportunities for the location based on market conditions and specific needs.
• Understand the location’s primary target customer and service expectations to offer tailored business solutions.
• Support the company’s service and relationship strategy to drive customer loyalty through service excellence.
• Service customers to grow account share and maintain customer service standards.
• Interact with guests to gather feedback on product quality and service levels.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this Sales Manager I position must meet one of the following educational and experience criteria:

• A 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related major, combined with 3 years of experience in sales and marketing or a related professional area.
• OR a 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related major, combined with 1 year of experience in sales and marketing or a related professional area.

Work Location and Type

This is a full-time position based in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, with responsibilities extending to the Jeddah market. The role involves direct engagement with customers and stakeholders within these regions.
